Kitanomine is Furano's gondola village, the most convenient base for a ski or snowboard trip to Furano. The Kitanomine gondola and lifts sit at the heart of the district, with restaurants, bars, ski rental and a convenience store all within walking distance.
It is quieter and more relaxed than the big resort villages of Niseko and Rusutsu, with everything you need for a week on the snow still within a short walk.
Our Yukiyama Apartment and Yukiyama Studio are located in the main accommodation area of Kitanomine, just a 5-minute walk from the gondola. Ski home for lunch, dry your gear, and be back on the lifts for the afternoon.
In winter you can stay on foot: ski, eat and drink without moving your car. For day trips to Furano city centre, the lavender farms of Nakafurano, Biei or an onsen afternoon, buses and tours run from Kitanomine, and a rental car gives you the most freedom.
